Forty passengers had to evacuate today from a Northwest Airlines jet at the LaCrosse, Wis., Municipal Airport because smoke was spotted near the wheels of the plane.
On flight number 428, the passengers were forced to evacuate after a landing tower employee spotted the smoke near the wheels.
