    Start your lead with the name of the well-known guy, not with a long introductory clause. And be sure spell the guy's name right!

    Ask yourself what makes this story newsworthy -- it's not a college alumni dinner, it's a famous actor being appointed to the college's board of trustees. So start your lead there. His name is what's going to get people to read this story.

    Also, you misspelled his name (that's a fact error) and it's Bard College's, not "Colleges's."
